  • Who attends World Travel Market Africa?

    Want to know whether people like you and companies like yours attend WTM Africa? What about the people and suppliers you want to meet, will they be there?

    Annually our vibrant event welcomes nearly 5000 attendees from the travel industry globally and in this region, over 3000 of these attendees are trade visitors (buyers). The popularity of the show was demonstrated again in 2016 with a 19% increase in travel professionals attending. The top industry sectors represented included adventure travel, safari holidays, business tourism and city breaks.

  • This exclusive B2B event brings professionals from all over the world, seven in ten of holding senior roles within their organisation, to focus on opportunities and issues that will drive commercial success for the African travel industry.

    Visitors

    Accounting for the majority of the audience, travel trade professionals attend WTM Africa to meet new and existing contacts, gain industry insight and keep up to date with the latest travel trends. 2016 saw an increase of 23% in the number visitors at our show, these visitors travelled from 77 different countries with 10% of the total attendees being international visitors.

    Buyers

    Falling into two groups, 653 members of the world renowned WTM Buyers’ Club attended in 2016 as did 197 hosted buyers from 47 different countries. These attendees commit to appointments and attend speed networking events.

  • Exhibitors

    Companies supplying the travel industry in Africa, or looking to, attend to showcase their products and services network and conduct business with the travel professionals in attendance. These are the group of attendees that most visitors come to see.

    Press & bloggers

    More than 150 members of the press and influential bloggers around the world come to WTM Africa each year to report on the latest stories and keep up to date with the industry.
