Sports & Events Tourism Exchange

  • Sports & Events Tourism Exchange

The annual Sports and Events Tourism Exchange, is the only event of its kind in Southern Africa and provides a platform that brings together businesses from the sports, events and tourism industries, SETE encourages collaboration between these sectors.

Sports tourism has been recognized by the UNWTO as the fastest growing tourism sector contributing more than 450 billion euros globally in 2014. There is a gap in the market to provide local event organizers and sports industry stakeholders with a platform to show case their services and network amongst their peers. Leveraging off the WTM Africa platform, we can further fill the gap to ensure we are maximising any tourism opportunities around sporting events.

For the first time at WTM Africa, SETE will have a pavilion on the show floor in 2018. SETE will not only aim to enable business between Sports & Event specific buyers and exhibitors, but it will also aim to educate and create discussions around this ever-changing and growing sector.
